[Games for Change Student Challenge 2021 National Winner - Accessibility Challenge]

Growth is a single-player pattern puzzle game that allows players to help others and themselves relax and re-energize through finding ingredients in nature and using them to grow healing plants. Please use headphones!

Accessibility Features:

1) Visual
Blindness:
+ Game can navigated solely with audio
+ Narration audio
+ Buttons have audio (words or sound cues)
+ Game puzzles utilize spatial audio and different pitches to direct player's mouse movement

Color Blindness:
+ High contrast subtitles
+ All art uses contrasting colors in terms of saturation and light/dark contrast
+ Quote from Devansh Sharma, Red-Green Color Blind: "The outlines of each shape make it easy to tell which object is which and the saturation of the different colors is well done because it makes them really distinct and vivid."
+ Different parts of scene have different textures (ex. bridge vs. water)
+ Information is still understandable without color cues

Visual Sensitivity:
+ No flashing lights
+ Limited/Smooth camera movements

2) Auditory:
Deafness:
+ Clear, easy-to-read subtitles provided 
+ All instructions portrayed visually
+ Game puzzles can be completed by following animation patterns
+ Visual cues and feedback given through animations, changes in saturation, etc.

Auditory Sensitivity:
+ No loud or disruptive noises, minimal audio playing at once

3) Motor:
General Adaptations:
+ Game only requires use of a mouse
+ Multiple controls never used at once
+ Does not require pressing button over period of time or extensive force
+ Exposition narrative is self-paced

4) Cognitive/Learning:
Autism Spectrum:
+ Option to remove extra animations (ex. moving fish) to prevent sensory overload

General:
+ Exposition narrative is self-paced
+ Players can always go back to instructions, change settings, etc.
+ Players can go back during narrative

5) General Accessibility:
+ Entire game is translated in both English and Spanish to make game inclusive to more players
